Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Service Description
CodeHawk ("the Service") is an AI-powered GitHub App that automatically reviews pull requests and posts inline comments identifying bugs, security issues, and logic errors. The Service is provided by CrossGen AI ("we", "us", "our").
2. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using CodeHawk, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are installing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service to review code containing illegally obtained intellectual property.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or otherwise tamper with the Service.
- Use the Service to generate harmful, abusive, or malicious output.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.
4. Data Handling
When a pull request is opened, the code diff is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for analysis. We do not store code diffs or PR content after the review is complete. Only organizational billing metadata (GitHub org name, plan status) is persisted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
5. Billing and Subscriptions
CodeHawk offers a free tier (3 PR reviews per month) and a paid Pro plan ($79/month per organization), billed through GitHub Marketplace. Billing is managed entirely by GitHub. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
6. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on GitHub's webhook infrastructure and the Anthropic API. Downtime in either may affect review delivery. We are not liable for missed reviews caused by third-party service outages.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. CodeHawk's AI reviews are suggestions only — they do not replace human code review or constitute professional security advice. We are not liable for bugs, vulnerabilities, or issues that are missed or incorrectly flagged by the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months prior to the claim.
8. Account Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will post the updated date at the top of this page.
